How quickly do you reply?+
Within 24 hours, and that includes written terms for a quote. A question about an existing policy, a certificate or a claim is usually answered the same day. Every message gets a reply.
Who actually handles my claim?+
Lloyd's underwriters pay valid claims. London Marine Insurance Services Ltd, the broker on the policy, handles the claim with them. Tell us and we pass it straight through, but World Yacht Insurance does not settle claims and cannot decide one.
Can you send me a certificate of insurance?+
Ask here with the vessel name and what the certificate is for, such as a marina, a flag state or a charter agent. The broker who placed the cover issues it, so we request it for you rather than writing it ourselves.
Does a quote cost anything?+
No. Asking costs nothing and commits you to nothing. You pay when you accept terms and bind cover, not before.
Do you sell my details to other insurers?+
No. We use what you send to prepare your quote or answer your question. We do not sell contact details, and we do not pass them to anyone outside the chain that arranges your cover.
